TRIS AMINO™ AC ADVANCED CRYSTALS
WE’VE INVESTED TO PROVIDE A SECURE, SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY
With the launch of our new TRIS AMINO AC-grade buffer products, ANGUS continues to expand TRIS AMINO production capacity, which now includes dual-source manufacturing locations for TRIS AMINO buffers in Sterlington, Louisiana, and Ibbenbüren, Germany. Both manufacturing facilities operate under our single Global Quality Management System, and are strategically located in U.S. and Europe, to ensure supply chain continuity for our critical TRIS AMINO products to all regions of the globe.
AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTION TO A LONG-STANDING INDUSTRY CHALLENGE
Clumping during transport and storage is a well-known and challenging characteristic of conventional TRIS buffer products. To address this long-standing industry challenge, ANGUS Chemical Company developed the next generation TRIS AMINO™ AC Advanced Crystals, produced in our newly expanded, state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Ibbenbüren, Germany.
TRIS AMINO AC buffers are manufactured exclusively by ANGUS using proprietary process technology and are less prone to clumping and hardness – without any change to the molecule itself. ANGUS created a material solution to the clumping problem with a unique crystal morphology that has a larger, more rounded particle structure and does not typically form strong cakes even when subjected to elevated conditions that tend to contribute to the clumping problem.
TRIS AMINO AC buffers may provide critical operational benefits when it comes to handling and preparation:
- Low interparticle cohesion between crystals requires less energy to break up clumps
- More spherical crystals allow for improvements in dispensing and transport through conveyors
- Lower dust emissions due to fewer fine particles
- No additives or anti-clumping agents
