Rajeev Amara

Mr. Amara founded and oversees Golden Gate Capital’s Industrials Investing Practice, which comprises 12 companies aggregating to over $4 billion of revenues. The philosophy of the Industrials Practice is to invest in competitively differentiated market leaders and aggressively grow their earnings by prioritizing innovation and capital allocation. Mr. Amara graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and serves on the Board of the University’s Graduate School of Education, one of the top-ranked educational research schools in the world.

Mark A. Henning

Mr. Henning is the President and Chief Executive Officer of ANGUS Chemical Company (ANGUS), a role he has held since 2014, and previously from 2001 to 2009. He led the divestiture of ANGUS, from wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, to Golden Gate Capital, in a deal that closed February 2, 2015. Mr. Henning previously worked for The Dow Chemical Company for over 31 years. As the global leader of Dow Microbial Control, he helped the business achieve record levels of profitable growth and set new standards for environmental engagement, launching the first definition of sustainability for the microbial control sector. Mr. Henning previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for both ChemiHaas and Viance from 2009-2014. He also founded and chaired the Cefic (the European Chemical Industry Council) Sector Group: Microbial Control Executive Council from 2011-2014, serves as a Dean's Advisory Board member for the University of Wisconsin College of Engineering, and is a member of the University of Wisconsin Electrical & Computer Engineering visiting advisory board. Mr. Henning holds a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and completed graduate programs at Indiana University Bloomington Kelley School of Business, Oxford University Said Business School and University of California Berkeley Center for Executive Education.

Gregg Jones

Mr. Jones is the President and Chief Executive Officer of EP Minerals and was previously the Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. Mr. Jones is responsible for leading and directing the company's strategy and growth initiatives, and expansions into new domestic and global markets. He has transformed the company with the “EP Way,” a unique culture-driven program based on the company's mission and vision. Prior to joining EP Minerals in 2003, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Plastics Division, for Rock Tenn Company. Mr. Jones also worked at Union Camp Corporation (now International Paper), Imerys and UCB Films. He has significant general management, operations, international sales, strategic marketing, and business development experience across a variety of industrial businesses and over 25+ years domestic and international leadership experience. Mr. Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, a master’s degree in chemistry, and an MBA from Syracuse University in New York.

Robert Kirby

Mr. Kirby is an Operating Partner with Golden Gate Capital. Mr. Kirby was previously CEO of Atrium. He was also the CEO of Vi-Jon, a leading private label manufacturer in the personal care market. Prior to this Mr. Kirby was CEO of Accellent, a leading contract manufacturer in the Medical Device market. Earlier in Mr. Kirby’s career, he was a General Manager and led Research & Development, and Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain at large cap companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly Clark and Fort James. Mr. Kirby has broad-based experience in Consumer Personal Care, Over-the-Counter (OTC) and Medical Devices. During his 30-year career, he has led large-scale and complex integrations of acquisitions, implemented lean processes, and driven rapid, positive change.

Shyam Ravindran

Mr. Ravindran joined Golden Gate Capital in 2008. Within the Industrials Investing Practice, he focuses on the Aerospace & Defense, Energy, Transportation, and General Manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, he worked in the San Francisco office of Bain & Company. Mr. Ravindran has a bachelor’s degree in management science and engineering with a minor in computer science from Stanford University. In addition to ANGUS Chemical Company, he serves on the board of directors of several other Golden Gate Capital portfolio companies, including Hillstone Environmental Partners, ShaleApps, Tronair, and GAL Manufacturing.

Walter Solomon

Mr. Solomon’s 35+ year career spans a wide range of industries including Consumer Products/Retail, Specialty Chemicals, Automotive, Health Care, Software, and Professional Sports. He retired from Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH and VVV) after a decade as its Chief Growth Officer, where he oversaw a complete transformation of its business portfolio that generated a $7-billion increase in shareholder value. Mr. Solomon spent the first decade of his career in Brand Management at Procter & Gamble, followed by a succession of start-ups that included an Inc. 500 media company, a health care services company sold to a publicly held competitor, and a NASCAR Cup team. In addition to ANGUS Chemical Company, Mr. Solomon serves on the boards of directors of Shepherd Materials Company, and not-for-profit BBYO Inc., while also serving as an advisor for the Women’s Executive 50 community. He is the author of the book “Cubicle Tales” and has served as a guest blogger on leadership and marketing for Forbes. Mr. Solomon is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
